Did anyone see the Naruto English dub episode last Saturday? I usually don't watch the dubs for a couple of different reasons, but last week I did. And what luck! The episode had a lot of Lee in it! It was so sad! You know, it's the episode when Tsunade's being all lazy and the she sees how Lee is injured and miserable and decides to condust surgery on him. Anyways, there's this one scene when Lee's on a bridge playing with flowers (Sucess... No... Success... No...), and I just had to draw it. Once I colored it it looked like crap though, so I'm going to have to redo it. Until then, here's the black and white, er, blue...
ooh, wow! simple yet quite emotional. you know what's weird? i cried while i read about lee telling gai how he felt hopeless and all i don't watch naruto dubs...they're quite annoying at times, lol *faves*
Yeah, they're very annoying. I was babysitting my sisters and I was channel surfing and I saw Lee! I don't like to watch them if Lee isn't in them.... I'm glad that you like it!

I loved that episode so much! Remember how Iruka, Naruto and Sakura said he'd sure be okay again soon, and Lee was smiling and nodding, but inside he was shattered into pieces and knew he may die if he takes the surgery. That was so sweet!

Oh, you only read the manga, don't you? Well, then it's okay. There was not much different in his episode than in the manga chapter. (I prefer reading the manga myself.) The basic difference was that in the anime, Sakura brought Lee some flowers =^^= I can tell you about it if you want me to? Then you don't have to watch it.
If you don't want me to, then simply ignore the following describtion:
difference 1: Iruka
Lee is passing py the academy. Iruka sees him and asks him how he is. Lee remembers what Tsunade told him ("... the chance that the surgery succeeds is only 50%, and if it fails, he'll die..." ), but then smiles and lies, telling Iruka that he's fine. difference 2: Naruto
After he passed by the academy, Lee almost collids with Naruto. Naruto then tells him that the village needs every helping hand it can get and that Lee shall hurry to get healthy again. Lee nods, not telling Naruto about Tsunade's words, either. difference 3: Sakura
Sakura is going to the hospital, a bouquet of flowers in her hands. The receptionist tells her that Sasuke isn't there, but Sakura replies that she wanted to visit Lee, not Sasuke. The receptionist checks where Lee is and is surprised to see that he did not come to his rehabilitation course. She says that Lee's usually on time, and that it's unusual for him to be late.
Sakura later finds Lee standing on a bridge. (Remember - Lee was on a bridge in the manga, too.) She's approaching him and tells him that she brought him flowers. Lee flushes, then looks around hastily, but finds no one else around. Then he points at himself, his face marked by innocent, honest disbelief and asks, "Me?"
Then he smiles widely and wants to take the flowers. But he stumbles because of the crutch and Sakura catches him. (Obsessed watchers - like me - will notice that Lee blushes again when Sakura catches him. Well, his face did get rather close to Sakura's breast for a short moment )
Sakura then tries to comfort Lee by telling him that as soon as Tsunade had a look at him, he sure would be healed soon. (Which means she didn't know that Tsunade had already examined him, which is slightly contradicting to the manga.)
Lee once again doesn't mention his troubles with any word.
Sakura leaves then. The rest of the episode is quite like in the manga. However: You may remember Lee throwing blossom leaves into the water under the bridge? In the anime, these blossoms are from the flowers Sakura brought him.
If you haven't seen the anime, you didn't see drunken Lee or the curry arc, either? Geez, you really need to watch that! At least the first episode of the curry arc. That was SOOOO sweet and funny!
(I know of course that drunken Lee was also in the manga. But I liked the anime version more there. Lee pretended to have fallen asleep, and when Kimimaro was approaching, he jumped up, screaming: "Ha! You fell for it! Did you see that, Gai-sensei? I was soooo cool!" And most hilarious, he did it a second time and Kimimaro AGAIN thought Lee would have truly fallen asleep. )
Love,
Kari
Ps.: I hope it was understandable enough. I don't know the original dialogues, of course.

And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
What a stupid lamb.
What a sick, masochistic lion.
